5-Week Vocalist Workshops

This workshop series focuses specifically on issues unique to vocalists.

 

The Alexander Technique originated in the 1890s when F. M. Alexander's loss of his voice almost ended his career on stage. The solutions he discovered have proven successful for many prominent vocalists and actors in the modern era.

 

I will focus in this workshop on the nature of these principles, including head and neck coordination as they impact the tongue, larynx and respiration.

 

The 5-week workshop fee is $600.00 per participant.

5-Week Musician Workshops

This workshop series focuses on performing musicians with the goal of developing an ability to use the principles of Alexander Technique to:

​

  • Improve coordination while playing

  • Undo any dystonic or painful patterns of movement

  • Learn to alter and/or correct the use of the body

​

Each group will be limited to three participants, ideally from similar instruments in each workshop set (i.e. woodwinds, strings, piano/keyboards).

​

The 5-week workshop fee is $600.00 per participant.
